Feeling Stuck? You’re Not Broken - You’re Protecting Yourself

There’s nothing more frustrating than knowing you want to feel better, move forward, or change something… but still feeling like you're dragging your feet through quicksand.

You read the books. You set the goals. You promise yourself this time will be different. And still, somehow, you’re stuck.

Sound familiar?

I want you to know this: you’re not lazy, unmotivated, or broken. You’re protecting yourself. Even if it doesn’t look that way on the surface.

Stuck Is a State - Not Your Identity

Feeling stuck isn’t a character flaw. It’s a nervous system response. When your body perceives stress, uncertainty, or threat (even something subtle like fear of being judged or rejected), it can freeze, fawn, shut down, or loop back into old familiar patterns.

This happens not because you're weak, but because your system has learned this is the safest option. And it’s done to take care of you.

So what looks like procrastination might actually be protection. What feels like numbness might be your body taking a break; it didn’t feel safe to ask for.

And what seems like “I just can’t get going” might be your system saying: “I’m not ready yet.”

You Don’t Need to Push Through- You Need to Tune In

So many women have been taught to push, perform, and please. We overide exhaustion. We ignore the whispers in our bodies. We try to fix things from the neck up.

But real change doesn’t happen in your head alone. It starts in your body, with safety, presence, and space to breathe.

You don’t have to force yourself to feel ready.

You can breathe yourself into readiness.

Slowly. Gently. At your pace.

What If Stuck Isn’t a Problem- But a Message?

What if feeling stuck isn’t something to fight against, but something to listen to?

Maybe it’s your body saying:

“I need a different kind of support. “Let’s try a softer approach." “Let me feel safe first.”

Because when your system feels supported, not pushed, it moves. When it feels heard, it releases. And when it feels safe, it opens.

You’re Not Failing. You’re Learning.

So if you’re feeling stuck right now, I want you to take a breath. Not a perfect breath. Not a deep breath if that doesn’t feel good.Just one conscious inhale—and a slow exhale.

That’s a start. That’s movement. That’s enough for today.

And when you’re ready, I’d love to help you explore how breath, nervous system work, and somatic tools can guide you gently out of the stuck and into your strength.

Want support getting unstuck—without force, pressure, or pretending?
